Uplink profiles define policies for the links from hypervisor hosts to NSX-T Data Center logical switches or from NSX Edge nodes to leaf switches.
This deployment example uses the following uplink profiles:

To create the uplink profiles:
- From the NSX Manager UI, select System > Fabric > Profiles > Uplink Profiles.
- Click ADD.
- From the New Uplink Profile window, use the values from the Transport Zones table to complete the following fields:
- Enter the Name.
- Scroll down to Teamings and check the box next to Default Teaming.
- Select the Teaming Policy and enter the Active Uplinks using the information provided in the table above.
- Enter the Transport VLAN and MTU.
- Click the ADD button.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the remaining uplink profiles as mentioned in the Transport Zones table.
When complete, the Uplink Profiles page opens with the following profiles listed:
Edit Host overlay profile
Edit the Host-Overlay-Profile to create two teaming policies for ECMP uplinks as follows:
- From the Uplink Profiles page, select Host-Overlay-Profile and click EDIT.
- In the Edit Uplink Profile window under Teamings, click ADD.
- Add the two Teaming Policies as shown in the table below.After the two policies are added, the Teamings section displays as follows:

Add new teaming policies to Host-VLAN-TZ
To include the new teaming policies in the Host-VLAN-TZ, as created in the Create transport zone section, perform the following steps:
- Click Fabric, then click Transport Zones.
- Select Host-VLAN-TZ and click Edit.
- From the Edit Transport Zone window, locate the Uplink Teaming Policy Names section, and enter Uplink01 and Uplink02as shown in the figure below.
- Click ADD to save the changes.
