Creating the BE_dvswitch distributed port groups

  • Create the following distributed port groups for the PowerFlex Management network on BE_dvswitch: 

    • flex-vcsa-ha
    • flex-stor-mgmt
    • flex-vmotion
    • flex-data1
    • flex-data2
    • flex-data3
    • flex-data4
    1. Log in to the vSphere Client. 
    2. Click Networking. 
    3. Right-click BE_dvswitch and click Distributed Port Group > New Distribution Port Group. 
    4. Update the name to <VLAN_NAME> and click Next. 

    Note: See the port group names mentioned above.

    1. Select the default Port binding. 
    2. Select the default Port allocation. 
    3. Select the default number of ports, that is, 8. 
    4. Select VLAN as the VLAN type. 
    5. Set the VLAN ID to the appropriate VLAN number. 
    6. Clear Customize default policies configuration and click Next. 
    7. Click Finish. 
    8. Repeat these steps for each distributed port group for BE_dvswitch.
