Configuring OOB management

  • After racking, cabling, and completing power activities, configure the OOB management switch.

    The management switch uses a standard configuration and requires no additional or new configuration features when introducing the MX7000 chassis to PowerFlex. The following table provides standard configuration examples:

    Perform basic configurations, including:

    • Hostname
    • IP address (default is VLAN 101)
    • Network Time Protocol (NTP)
    • DNS
    • Domain names

    Switch port configuration

     Example of a switch port configuration for an access port:
