Adding ESXi host to the VMware vCenter

  • Add the R640 ESXi management host to VMware vCenter: 

    1. Log in to the VMware vSphere Client (HTML5).
    2. Click the home icon at the top of the screen and click Hosts and Clusters.
    3. Expand the data center and right-click the Compute Cluster.
    4. Click Add Host.
    5. In the hostname or IP address field, type the FQDN of the new host and click Next.
    6. Type the root username and password for the host and click Next.
    7. On the Host Summary page, click Next.
    8. Click the proper license and click Next.
    9. On the Lockdown Mode page, leave all default values and click Next.
    10. Click Finish to add the host to the cluster.
