In the Inventory pane of the vSphere Client, right-click the DNS/NTP server VM, named win-dns in this example, and select Migrate.
For the migration type, select Change both compute resource and storage and then click NEXT.
To select a compute resource, expand the data center and the stretched cluster to view the hosts. Select a host in either site. A host in the Preferred site is used in this example. Ensure there are no errors in the Compatibility box at the bottom, as shown.
Click NEXT.
On the Select storage page, do the following:
Set the VM Storage Policy to vSAN Default Storage Policy.
Select the vSAN datastore used by the cluster.
Ensure there are no errors in the Compatibility section.
Click NEXT.
On the Select networks page, change the Destination Network to the management network on the VDS, named DSwitch-Management Network in this example. Ensure there are no errors in the Compatibility box at the bottom, as shown.
Click NEXT.
Select Schedule vMotion with high priority (recommended) and click NEXT.
On the Ready to complete page, review the settings.
