To enable hosts to communicate with other networks, networks are configured as Layer 3 on SmartFabric switches. Each Layer 3 network includes an IP address for each leaf, and a shared anycast gateway address.
Leaf switch IP addresses are entered as a range in the SFS UI. There must be one address per leaf switch in the range for the site. In the table below, there are four unique addresses in the range for Site 1 because site 1 has four leaf switches. There are two unique addresses in the range for Site 2 because site 2 has two leaf switches. All leaf switches in both sites use the same gateway address.
