In the SFS UI for Site 1, select Uplink > Multi-Site Fabric Interconnect> CONFIGURE MULTI-SITE FABRIC INTERCONNECT.
Next to Switch Group, Leaf is selected for this example.
Next to Rack, select the rack containing the leaf switches connected to the fabric interconnect. In this example, it is Rack01. The window expands to show the fields for the leaf switches in the rack.
Next to Fabric Interconnect Link, select External Network.
Next to Peer Fabric Domain ID, enter the Site 2 domain ID, 101.
For the first leaf switch, S1-Leaf1A, the following values are used in this example:
Select the fabric interconnect interface, 1/1/55.
Enter the Local IP Address, 192.168.1.0, and Local Prefix Length, 31. These values are from Table 1.
Enter the External ASN. This is the AS number configured on the DCI-Site-1 switch, 65101.
Enter the External Interface IP, 192.168.1.1. This is from Table 1.
For this example, BFD is set to enable. Enabling BFD is recommended if it is supported on the DCI switch connected to the leaf.
The Peer BGP ASN is auto populated with the SFS default leaf ASN for the peer domain, 65015. If you changed the default ASN settings for Site 2, enter the new ASN.
For Peer Loopback, enter the loopback address for one of the fabric interconnect leaf switches in Site 2. For this example, the loopback address of S2-Leaf1A is entered, 172.18.128.1.
For the second leaf switch, S1-Leaf1B, the following values are used in this example:
Select the fabric interconnect interface, 1/1/55.
Enter the Local IP Address, 192.168.1.2, and Local Prefix Length, 31. These values are from Table 1.
Enter the External ASN. This is the AS number configured on the DCI-Site-1 switch, 65101.
Enter the External Interface IP, 192.168.1.3. This is from Table 1.
For this example, BFD is set to enable. Enabling BFD is recommended if it is supported on the DCI switch connected to the leaf
The Peer BGP ASN is auto populated with the SFS default leaf ASN for the peer domain, 65015. If you changed the default ASN settings for Site 2, enter the new ASN.
For Peer Loopback, enter the loopback address for the remaining fabric interconnect leaf switch in Site 2. For this example, the loopback address of S2-Leaf1B is entered, 172.18.128.0.
With the data entered from above, the Configure Multi-Site Fabric Interconnect window for Site 1 shows the following configuration settings:
