Steps to deploy SFSS for NVMe/TCP

  • The information below provides a high-level overview of the deployment of SFSS for NVMe/TCP.

    1. Configure NVMe/TCP interfaces on endpoints.
    2. Deploy the SFSS virtual machine, configure the interfaces, and create the CDC instances.
    3. Discovery of CDC instances by endpoints.
      Discovery is automated in most scenarios. Some solutions require configuration in this step.
    4. Configure the zoning.
    5. Provision the storage.
      • Create the volume groups and volumes on the subsystem.
      • Add hosts and map to the volume.
    6. Access the NVMe storage.
      • In ESXi, create datastore
      • In Linux, devices will be listed like local drives
