The following table details the optional commands you can run on the ESXi shell to enable the host for NVMe/TCP and register with the SFSS storage instance. The following tasks can be completed in the UI.

Add a virtual standard switch. In this example, a vSS named vs1 is created. |

Add a port group. In this example, a portgroup named PG-NVMe-TCP is created. |

Configure VLAN for the port group. In this example, VLAN 1821 is used for port group PG-NVMe-TCP. |

Add uplinks to the switch. In this example, vmnic4 and vmnic5 are added. |

Create a vmk for NVMe/TCP traffic. |

Enable VMkernel for NVMe/TCP. |

Enable NVMe/TCP on the NIC and create the NVMe storage adapters. |

Validate the NVMe adapters created. |
