This solution shows the backup of generic applications files using the PowerFlex volumes running on the on-premises PowerFlex HCI system with VMware vSphere hypervisor using DDVE. The DDVE uses the DD BoostFS protocol to back up the generic application files to the active tier managed by the PowerFlex system. Later, the generic application file backups are moved from the active tier to Cloud Tier and managed by an Amazon S3 object storage for long-term backup and retention of data.
