    Dell OpenManage Enterprise requirements

    Dell OpenManage Enterprise is a mandatory component to be deployed as a virtual appliance on hypervisor to use OpenManage Target to monitor PowerEdge Servers. The Plug-in retrieves all the hardware information to the Oracle EM console from OpenManage Enterprise. Therefore, OpenManage Enterprise must be installed and the Dell devices (to be monitored in the Oracle EM console) must be discovered in OpenManage Enterprise for the Plug-in to show the relevant data for each device. The OpenManage Plug-in for Oracle EM supports OpenManage Enterprise versions 3.5 or later.

    PowerFlex requirements

    • The Plug-in uses the PowerFlex Gateway as the main data collection target for PowerFlex monitoring operations. The target connects to the PowerFlex via its PowerFlex Gateway for data collection. A PowerFlex administrator can provide the IP address or host, the port number, username, and password of the Gateway to use during configuration of the PowerFlex target. 
    • Only the SDCs on bare metal/physical server is currently supported.
    • The SDC node name should match with the host target name in Oracle EM.  SDC nodes can be renamed using PowerFlex presentation console.
    • The solution relies on PowerFlex Gateway REST APIs and requires that API responds with unique non-null SDCs names and that it should match with the host target name.
