Incremental Forever (Level 10) backups

  • The basic configuration steps are below to confirm the Incremental Forever (Level 10) Backup feature with PowerScale. This feature is enabled by default when PowerScale is the NAS client.

    Confirmation steps:

    1. Commvault: Run a Full Backup (Level 0) and then an Incremental Backup (Level 10)

    Either manually on a Subclient or using a schedule policy.

    PowerScale: Confirm the last backup job, the incremental backup, is listed as a Level 10 in the dumpdates file (CLI)

    To use the PowerScale feature, Commvault specifies incremental backups as Level 10.
