Identity pools are recommended, but not required. Virtual identity pools are used in conjunction with server templates to automate network onboarding of compute sleds. Perform the following steps to create an ID pool. For more information about identity pools, find the relevant version of the User Guide in the OME-M and OS10 compatibility and documentation table.
Open the OME-M console. From the navigation menu, click Configuration , then click Identity Pools . In the Network panel, click Create . The Create Identity Pool window displays. Type Ethernet CNA into the Pool Name box. Optionally, enter a description in the Description box. Click Next . Click to select the Include Ethernet Virtual MAC Addresses option. In the Starting MAC Address box, type a unique MAC address (for example, 06:3C:F9:A4:CC:00). Type 255 in the Number of Virtual MAC Identities box, click Next , then click Next again. Select the Include FCoE Identity option if using FCoE. In the Starting MAC Address box, type a unique MAC address (for example, 06:3C:F9:A4:CD:00). Type 255 in the Number of FCoE identities box for FCoE scenarios. Figure 124. Include FCoE identity Click Finish , then click Finish again.
