The DHCP server used in this guide is on the external network, as shown in Figure 1. It provides TEP addresses to each VxRail host for the NSX host overlay networks. An IP address scope is configured on the DHCP server for each NSX host overlay network used in the deployment.
For this deployment example, the following scopes are configured:

Each ESXi host uses two IP addresses on the host overlay network, one per NSX-T network adapter port.
Configure a scope for each rack and domain combination in use. If w01 hosts were also in Rack 1, a third DHCP scope to include the 172.26.101/24 network per Table 2 would be added to the DCHP server.
