The deployment of the Cloud DR Server to AWS attempts to launch a CentOS 7 instance from the AWS marketplace, this instance runs the Cloud DR Server. In order to launch this instance, the AWS Marketplace software terms must be manually accepted after subscribing to this AMI and before starting the deployment, otherwise any attempt to launch instances will fail, and the Cloud DR Server deployment will also fail.
The latest updated link to the marketplace page is displayed in the admin guide.
Note: Deployment to AWS GovCloud has a different link to a different AMI from the marketplace.
In order to prevent potential deployment failure due to not accepting the AWS software terms, when using the Cloud DR Add-on, you are asked to verify and check that the AWS marketplace software terms were accepted. The process is described in the administrator guide.
PowerProtect Data Manager and RecoverPoint for VMs do not verify it, so making sure to accept the marketplace software terms is crucial for the deployment of the Cloud DR Server and the rest of the cloud components.
