The passwords collected during the Cloud Foundation on VxRail deployment process are applied to the management components. The credentials for administrative accounts can be updated manually within SDDC Manager, or have SDDC Manager generate random passwords for these components.
Cloud Foundation on VxRail also automatically creates service accounts as part of the deployment process. A service account has a limited set of privileges, and is created for communication between products. Passwords for service accounts are randomly generated by SDDC Manager, and cannot be manually set. In order to update the credentials on a service account, a password rotation must be configured.
SDDC Manager can be used to set the number of days between password rotations. The supported values are 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days.
