Several Dell PowerSwitch options are available, and switch options depend largely on intended use and scale. The suggested top-of-rack (ToR) switch options are listed below as a guideline. Some customers may already have a plan in place, or they may have an existing network infrastructure. The switch model recommendations below are neither mandatory nor prescriptive.
It is recommended to separate management and gateways onto one set of switches and data traffic to separate switch fabrics. For each type of traffic, the following Dell PowerSwitch options can be used:
