Both Litmus Edge and Litmus Edge Manager provide options for backup and recovery of device configurations. Litmus backup and restore support the following use cases:
- A user has deleted or overwritten a portion of the configuration and needs to return to the last-known good configuration.
- Device hardware fails and needs replacement.
- Device hardware is upgraded.
Litmus backups allow you to restore device configurations in the event of a hardware failure. A Litmus Edge backup consists of the following:
- Device IP
- DNS
- NTP
- Device configuration
- Tags
- Flows
- OPC UA
- Integration connectors and configurations
- Users
- Time zone
Note: Databases, container volumes, and container images are not included in a backup.
