Clara Parabricks is an accelerated software suite for performing secondary analysis of NGS data. This software suite provides access to over 50 GPU accelerated tools, including mapping, alignment, and postprocessing. Multiple variant calling methods that support germline, somatic, and RNA applications are also available. Users can construct secondary analysis pipelines designed specific to their needs, to deliver results at fast speeds at low cost. Clara Parabricks analyzes 50x whole human genomes in~60 minutes on a four GPU server, compared to ~24 hours using traditional CPU hardware.
The Clara Parabricks software suite runs on a range of server GPUs available on-premises or in the cloud. It scales linearly with the number of GPU resources. Clara Parabricks produces consistent results across different GPUs and generates the same results with each execution. The results are equivalent to the Broad GATK best practices pipeline. The current version of Clara Parabricks supports all versions of GATK through v4.2 along with DeepVariant v1.1. Also, there are five somatic callers, two structural variant callers, and two gene fusion callers. With NVIDIA-generated tools, users can readily merge multiple Variant Call Formats (VCFs), annotate, and filer based on BAM coverage. Furthermore, Clara Parabricks analysis pipelines are readily customizable, and new steps can be added effortlessly. Clara Parabricks v3.7.0-1 was used for this architecture.
