Snapshot policies

  • Snapshot policies provide reliable protection for applications in an automated fashion that requires little to no maintenance by the business. Administrators can manually take snapshots of applications that are protected by snapshot policies to satisfy on-demand requirements. Snapshot policies minimize the effort required to maximize application protection. They provide regularly scheduled, crash-consistent snapshots that are based on application requirements. Currently PowerMax supports up to 1,024 snapshots per device and 65 million snapshots per storage array.
