This chapter covers adding a second VxRail cluster to the SmartFabric.
Note: Note: If a second cluster will not be deployed at this time, skip to the Deploy and Configure OMNI section.
VxRail nodes may be located in the same rack or spread out across the racks in the SmartFabric as needed. For the second VxRail cluster in this example, one node is added in Rack 1 and three nodes are added in Rack 2. The new nodes are outlined in red in the figure below.
Before proceeding, ensure the VxRail nodes that will be part of the second VxRail cluster are connected to the SmartFabric switches and powered on. Ensure the DNS server has host records for all components in the second VxRail cluster, configured as shown in DNS server records - second cluster.
