    PowerPath/VE Appliance

    Dell PowerPath is a family of software products that ensure consistent application availability and performance across I/O paths on physical and virtual platforms. 

    PowerPath provides automated path management and tools that enable you to satisfy aggressive service-level agreements (SLAs) without investing in additional infrastructure. PowerPath includes PowerPath Migration Enabler for nondisruptive data migrations and PowerPath Viewer for monitoring and troubleshooting I/O paths.

    You can deploy PowerPath/VE with PowerPath for better and easier data path management across your virtual, physical, and cloud environments. PowerPath/VE provides predictable application performance, higher reliability, and more resilience in your growing virtual data center.

    Cisco Intersight Virtual Appliance

    Cisco Intersight Virtual Appliance provides the management features and benefits of Cisco Intersight in its VMware Open Virtualization Appliance (OVA). Intersight Virtual Appliance offers intelligent management for customers to analyze, simplify, and automate their environments in more advanced ways than previous generations of the tools. Intersight Virtual Appliance also provides additional flexibility with data locality, security, and compliance requirements. For more information, see What is OVA & OVF Files?.

    Deploy Intersight Virtual Appliance in one of the following modes:

    • Intersight Connected Virtual Appliance: This mode delivers the management features of Intersight, while allowing you to control what system details leave your premises. Intersight Connected Virtual Appliance deployments requires a connection back to Cisco and Intersight services for automatic updates and access to services for full functionality.

    You can deploy Intersight Virtual Appliance as:

    • A single-node virtual machine in your existing environment.
    • A multiple node cluster, allowing for HA, increased stability, and better resilience. After you have completed the initial setup of the single-node appliance, you can add additional nodes to create a multiple node cluster.
    • Intersight Private Virtual Appliance: This mode delivers the management features of Intersight and allows you to ensure that no system details leave your premises. Intersight Private Virtual Appliance is intended for an environment where you operate data centers in a disconnected (air gapped) mode.

    Secure Connect Gateway

    Secure Connect Gateway is an enterprise monitoring technology that is delivered as a virtual appliance. The gateway monitors your devices and proactively detects hardware issues that may occur. The guide also provides minimum system and network requirements and deployment instructions for the gateway.
