Home > Integrated Products > vSAN Ready Nodes > Guides > Validation Guide—SAP HANA on Dell EMC PowerEdge for VMware vSAN Hyperconverged Infrastructure > CPU and memory
While PowerEdge for VMware vSAN Ready Nodes are generally available with one, two, and four CPU sockets, SAP HANA is certified only on the two-socket (R740xd) and four-socket (R840) vSAN Ready Nodes all-flash configuration with Intel Xeon-SP Silver, Gold, and Platinum CPUs and a minimum of 12 cores per socket. For half-socket SAP HANA configurations, where two SAP HANA VMs share a single CPU socket, a minimum of 16 cores per socket is required.
When configuring memory for vSAN Ready Nodes for SAP HANA, ensure that you comply with the SAP requirement for a homogeneous symmetric assembly of DIMMs and that all memory channels (six with Intel Xeon-SP CPU architecture) are used. Mixed DIMM configurations are not supported on vSAN Ready Nodes.
