The base starting configuration can reside in a single server. Because the resource requirements for a SUSE Rancher deployment are relatively small, a viable approach is to deploy it as a VM on the target nodes, on top of an existing hypervisor such as KVM. For a physical host, you can use the following tools during the server configuration:
