Today, it is easy to find organizations that have been affected by security attacks impacting their core activities. Security continues to be one of the top priorities of our customers. Strengthening cybersecurity skills and working with Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) are top priorities for IT leaders worldwide1.

A recent market research survey study looked at the 2022 IT-spending intentions of 700+ IT decisionmakers from mid-market (100-999 employees) to enterprise-class organizations (1,000+ employees). Respondents from regions including North America, Western Europe, and Asia-Pacific provided the following key insights2:

• 69 percent of respondents say that their cybersecurity spending will increase in 2022
• 48 percent believe their IT organizations have a problematic shortage of existing skills in cybersecurity spending
• 38 percent believe that strengthening cybersecurity will drive the majority of technology spending in their organization in the next 12 months

These statistics underscore the need for organizations to prioritize security as a company capability—not a cost to be minimized.

This is a shift in mindset that allows us to design IT architectures for optimal processes and data protection, with security included as a key product feature to adapt as product roadmaps evolve.
