Area | Recommendation |
Cloud adjacency | To reduce latency issues, access an ECS cluster that resides in a region that is adjacent to the cloud provider you are using. For example, if the Snowflake account being used is in us-east-1, the ECS system should reside in a region that is adjacent to us-east-1. |
External IP load balancer | ECS does not support native load balancing. Use an external IP load balancer such as ECS Connection Manager to distribute load across the ECS nodes. The virtual service or VIP must be publicly accessible. |
Data partitioning | Use partitioning when applicable. It will help reduce the amount of irrelevant data being sent over the wire and increase query speed. |
