Home > Data Protection > PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance > PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance Integration With PowerProtect Cyber Recovery > Creating a replication context on the Vault DD System
To complete the replication between DM5500 appliance and the Vault DD System, you need to manually configure the replication context on the Vault DD using the storage units generated by DM5500.
Ensure that a policy with Vault Stage exists on the appliance.
Ensure that the Vault Data Domain System is using a supported DDOS version:
Note: A copy icon is now available in the policy view that enables you to copy Storage Unit information to the clipboard.
Command: replication add source mtree://ddve-<Appliance PSNT Number>.dpappliance.local/data/col1/<Source Storage Unit name> destination mtree://Vault DD Management FQDN/data/col1/<Vault Storage Unit name>
On the Vault DD system, the replication context for policy Storage Units has been configured successfully.
Note: The System ServerDR Storage Unit name always starts with a prefix of SysDR_ followed by the appliance PSNT number.
Command: replication add source mtree://ddve-<Appliance PSNT Number>.dpappliance.local/data/col1/<System ServerDR Storage Unit name> destination mtree://Vault DD Management FQDN/data/col1/<System ServerDR Storage Unit name-V>
Note: For the System ServerDR Storage Unit name, only append a -V (an uppercase V) to the end of the Destination Storage Unit name. The replication context creation for the System ServerDR Storage Unit name must be executed only once.
On the Vault DD system, the replication context for System ServerDR Storage Units has been configured successfully.
Command: replication modify < Destination Replication Context Name> connection-host <Vault Replication Data IP Address on DM5500 Appliance>
Note: Because the source replication context is pre-initialized (for both Policy and ServerDR Storage Unit’s) on DM5500, the context is synchronized automatically, which can take up to 15 minutes.
