Home > Data Protection > PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance > PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance Integration With PowerProtect Cyber Recovery > Configure the vault network
Create a dedicated vault network on the PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance.
Note: For information about how to configure the Security Officer user, see Security Configuration Guide for DM5500.
Note: A new checkbox option called “Direct Connection is available to the Cyber Vault”. Selecting this option will display a single uplink for selection, even if you have multiple uplinks connected to the system. This option is selected by default.
Note: If the system is not cabled, the UI will display a warning stating that there are no available uplinks for selection. You can only leverage one port/uplink to connect to the vault storage.
This enables a dedicated appliance network connection to the vault network. This network requires an uplink group with a single uplink and cannot be shared across networks.
Note: During the network configuration, the value entered in the Data IP Address field is assigned to an available interface on the Protection Storage of the appliance.
Note: This is an optional field.
The Add Network wizard closes, and the Networks page appears.
You have configured the Appliance's Network Settings for replication to the Vault DD System.
Note: Wait for the Network configuration job to complete before progressing further.
