To enable the automated operational air gap workflow for the replication context, we must create policies in the Cyber Recovery UI.
Prerequisites
- Ensure that the Vault DD System is added as an asset in the Cyber Recovery Management Console.
- Ensure that a dedicated user with the administrator role exists on the Vault DD System, so that Cyber Recovery Services can orchestrate the air gap and secure the vault.
- Ensure that the replication context is created successfully for both Policy and System ServerDR Storage Units.
- Ensure that the context is synchronized successfully on the vault DD System.
Steps
- From the Cyber Recovery UI, select Policies > Policies. The Policies window appears.
- In the Policies window, click Add. The Policy Information wizard appears.
- On the Policy information page, specify the following fields, then click Next:
- Name — Type a descriptive name for the Cyber Recovery policy (such as VMware-Backup-Vault-Policy).
- Type — From the drop-down menu, select PPDM.
- Storage — From the drop-down menu, select the Vault DD System.
