The following steps show how to setup a Microsoft SQL Server disaster recovery with PowerFlex replication:
- Create three Windows Server 2019 virtual machines in both source and target PowerFlex clusters.
- The volumes at both Source and destination should be of the same sizes.

- Create a replication consistency group (RCG), containing the PowerFlex source and matching target volumes of all the system and data in user databases, logs, backup, and tempdb.
Note: In this configuration, OS Volume and Quorum Volumes are not a part of the replication. The Windows Failover Cluster software is running independently in both the source and target systems.
- Map the volumes that are created in the source and target PowerFlex systems to their respective WSFC hosts. Essentially, the volumes at the source system must be mapped to the SDCs of the WSFC hosts connected to the source system, and all volumes at the target system must be mapped to the SDCs of the WSFC hosts connected to the target system.
