  • The need for cybersecurity protection is the equivalent of "locking all the windows and doors" in your IT systems. Our testing showed that no assets could be ignored. It is just as important to perform vulnerability scans against endpoints like IP cameras as for all the more traditional components of an IT environment. This goal is to ensure that no soft targets exist within your infrastructure. An environment is only as strong as its weakest link.

    Adding Secureworks VDR and XDR to a fully featured integrated Computer Vision for Smart Transportation platform provided excellent vulnerability and threat detection capabilities. Secureworks provides a rich web portal experience for tracking vulnerabilities.

    The performance impacts from adding VDR vulnerability scanning were truly negligible.

    On top of vulnerability detection, it is also necessary to enable XDR to detect if any intruders are active inside your system. The most robust intrusion protection can be provided by installing the Red Cloak agent to actively detect threats in real time based on behavioral signatures like unusual login attempts that will raise alerts.

    The performance impacts from XDR on network bandwidth, memory, and disk I/O will not change sizing requirements for the baseline system. Some additional CPU sizing calculations should be considered when designing a system using the Red Cloak agent with XDR. A new version of the device agent for use with XDR will be released soon.
