  • This Design Guide describes how we set up and configured Secureworks VDR and XDR vulnerability and threat detection products in our CV lab to demonstrate best practices for securing and monitoring virtualized instances of:
    • Milestone XProtect VMS for video management
    • Genetec VMS for video management
    • BriefCam computer vision
    • Ipsotek computer vision

    All four applications were implemented as described in the documentation referenced earlier in the section following guidance from the vendors on taking advantage of native high availability (HA) features and scale-out performance that would be critical in an enterprise-class solution.

    This Design Guide and validation offer further proof that a common virtualized platform provides better resource utilization and flexibility when implementing large systems with many virtual machines when compared to an appliance-per-vendor approach.
