In this example, server interface profiles for the ESXi hosts are created using the static onboarding method.
On the SmartFabric Services UI Server Interface page, select Create.
The Create Server Interface Profile page opens.
Next to Server Interface ID, enter the MAC address of the interface on the first host as noted earlier.
Choose New Server Profile.
Assign a unique server profile ID.
ESXi is used in this example.
Next to Server Profile Bonding type, AutoDetect is selected in this example.
Note: If your server interfaces are configured for LACP, select LACP next to Server Profile Bonding type.
From the drop-down menu, select the tagged or untagged networks.
In this example, all networks are tagged.
Next to Static Onboarding Option, select Yes.
Next to NIC Bonding type, Disable is selected in this example.
Note: If your server interfaces are configured for LACP, select Enable next to NIC Bonding type.
Select the appropriate Leaf Node and Interface.
Select Create.
Repeat the steps above for the remaining host interfaces connected to the SmartFabric leaf switches.
Note: In this example, all interfaces use the same Server Profile ID, named ESXi. When reusing a server profile on subsequent interfaces, select Existing Server Profile and select the Server Profile ID from the drop-down list.
The Server Interface Profile page appears as shown after the eight interfaces in this example are onboarded.
