The objectives of a physical vault are to:
Consider the following Dell solutions for a physical vault implementation:
At a high level, the PowerMax 8000 would be your primary storage with DLm serving as your virtual tape processing, archiving, and backup. For your “vault” site, you might mimic the environment configured on your production site. Use Mainframe Enabler and zDP to control the preservation of data on your z/OS environments. SRDF would be your remote replication mechanism between the two sites. The key is that GDDR Cyber Protection Automation (zCPA) controls all the data protection.
zCPA can create copies of data at a cyber recovery vault site that can be used for cyber recovery.
