Monitoring is an object-store-level resource. Metrics are aggregated at the OSI level. The following table describes the services that make up the ObjectScale monitoring service:
Monitoring service component | Description |
Fluxd | Component that issues Flux queries to the underlying InfluxDB instances to merge data. Authorized users may access fluxd directly through the external gateway to query an object store’s InfluxDB. |
Grafana | Dashboard and metrics visualization UI. Metrics are loaded using Flux queries. |
InfluxDB | Metrics storage on per-object store basis. |
Metering | Account and bucket-level metrics for billing and quotas in time-serries format. |
Rsyslog | System logging service. |
Telegraf | Agent for collecting, processing, aggregating, and writing metrics. Telegraf communicates with InfluxDB. |
ThrottlerCQ | Stateless service that runs queries on real-time data and stores precomputed request in specified measurement in InfluxDB. ThrottlerCQ communicates with Fluxd and Telegraf. |
