User interfaces primarily include the WebUI for point-and-click management and Helm for CLI-based management. APIs are used for programmatic interaction. Each OSI provides three services of type LoadBalancer for external access:
The external gateway is provided for user communication at service port 443. The external gateway serves as a proxy to services within ObjectScale, such as the IAM and replication services, and individual object store instances of Grafana and Flux (fluxd).
The internal gateway is provided for OSI communication between ObjectScale instances for services such as federation, IAM, and management. Service port 4443 is used for communication with the internal gateway.
Gateways are NGINX reverse proxy services. The service ports provide a single endpoint for accessing the cluster portal, management API, and cluster authentication services. Requests received are forwarded to the appropriate back-end service based on the TCP/UDP port and uniform resource indicator (URI) of the incoming request.
The ObjectScale portal provides the graphical UI at service port 4443.
