Ensure that there are no conflicts between BGP autonomous system numbers (ASNs), IP addresses, and VLANs used in your existing network environment that SFS reserves for internal use. The values used by SFS depend on the domain ID configured on each SmartFabric instance.
This deployment uses two SmartFabric instances, one in Site 1 and one in Site 2. The SFS domain IDs used in this example are 100 in Site 1 and 101 in Site 2. The following table shows the default fabric settings for these two SFS domains.
Site | Domain ID used | Leaf ASN | Spine ASN | BGP address range | VTEP address range | Client control VLAN | Client management VLAN |
1 | 100 | 65011 | 65012 | 172.16.0.0/16 | 172.30.0.0/16 | 3939 | 4091 |
2 | 101 | 65015 | 65016 | 172.18.0.0/16 | 172.31.101.0/24 | 3939 | 4091 |
If any of the default fabric settings conflict with your environment, you can change them in the SFS UI after the switches are placed in SmartFabric mode. See the SmartFabric Services User Guide for instructions. Changes to the SFS default fabric settings will reboot the entire fabric and should be done as early as possible in the deployment.
