Configure a jump host port

  • A jump host is used to connect to VxRail manager and deploy VxRail. Connect a jump host to an available port on a SmartFabric leaf switch and follow the Configure a jump host port section of Dell Networking SmartFabric Services Deployment with VxRail 7.0.400.

    Note: If the jump host port was configured earlier to deploy the DNS/NTP server, it needs to be deleted first to change the network. Delete it as follows: in the SFS UI, select Switches and expand the switch the jump port is configured on. Select Breakout Ports & Jump Port > X JUMP PORT > DELETE. Then proceed with the section linked above. If a breakout port was configured, you do not need to reconfigure it.
