OpenManage Network Integration

  • OpenManage Network Integration (OMNI) enables configuration and management of SFS-enabled Dell PowerSwitch systems. OMNI can be accessed through a vCenter plug-in or directly using the OMNI UI. With OMNI, networks created that are in vCenter are automatically configured in the fabric.

    The OMNI UI includes all the features that are contained in the SFS UI, plus the following:

    • Upgrade SmartFabric OS10 on all switches in the fabric
    • Make a backup of the SmartFabric
    • Replace a switch in the SmartFabric
    • Manage up to 15 SmartFabric instances
    • Communicate with up to ten vCenter servers
    • Communicate with an NSX-T Manager to automatically configure VLANs and routing for NSX traffic
    • Make multiple network configuration changes at once with the OMNI Bulk Configuration template
    • Change the SmartFabric REST_USER password
