  • This section briefly describes the hardware that is used to validate the deployment examples in this document. Appendix A contains a complete listing of hardware and software that is validated for this guide.

    Note: While the steps in this document were validated using the specified Dell PowerSwitch models, other switch models listed on the Networking Support & Interoperability Matrix may be used.

    PowerSwitch S5232F-ON Two spine switches
    PowerSwitch N3248TE-ON One in each rack for out-of-band (OOB) management traffic
    VxRail nodes Eight nodes in two clusters
    Note: All hosts within each VxRail cluster must have identical hardware. VxRail supports cluster sizes up to 64 nodes. With SFS, each VxRail cluster must have a minimum of three nodes. Two-node VxRail clusters are not supported.
