Purpose of this guide

  • This guide demonstrates the deployment of SmartFabric services with VxRail and shows the following tasks:

    • Deployment of a two-leaf SmartFabric in a single rack
    • Connecting the SmartFabric to the data center's existing network using Layer 2 or Layer 3 uplinks
    • Deployment of a VxRail cluster connected to the SmartFabric
    • Expanding the SmartFabric to two racks by adding leaf and spine switches
    • Adding a VxRail node in the second rack in to the cluster
    • Deployment of a second VxRail cluster with nodes in two racks
    • Deployment of OMNI for automation and management of the SmartFabric
