Minimum requirements for the SFS deployment examples in this guide include the following:
- PowerStore deployments with SFS must meet the software requirements specified in the Networking Support Matrix.
- Isilon Front-end, PowerEdge ESXi, vSAN Ready Nodes, or other static onboarded devices deployed with SFS must meet the software requirements specified in the Networking Support Matrix.
- There must be at least one ESXi host for the OMNI VM.
- At least two Dell EMC PowerSwitch switches listed in Networking Support Matrix must be deployed as leaf switches. Each switch in a leaf pair must be the same model due to VLT requirements.
- Dell EMC PowerSwitch switches must run SmartFabric OS10.5.2.2 or a later version, as specified in the Networking Support Matrix.
- One 1 GbE BASE-T switch, also referred to as 1000BASE-T, for OOB management connections. Dell Technologies recommends using one PowerSwitch N3248TE-ON per rack.
- There must be a DNS server. This can be an existing DNS server that is reachable on the network with host records added for this deployment. For DNS host records added for the examples in this guide, see Table 1.
- OMNI 2.0 or a later version, as specified in the Networking Support Matrix.
