Use the following CLI commands to validate the leaf switch configuration.
show interface status
The show interface status | grep up command is used to verify that the required interfaces are up, and that the links are established at the appropriate speeds.
S5232F-Leaf1A# show interface status | grep up

show vlt
The show vlt 1 command validates the VLT configuration status when the VLTi Link Status is up. The role of one switch in the VLT pair is primary, and its peer switch is assigned the secondary role.

show port-channel summary
The show port-channel summary command is used to view port channel numbers, interfaces used, and status. In SmartFabric OS10, the VLTi is automatically configured as a static LAG using port channel 1000. Ports 1/1/29 and 1/1/31 are port channel members, and (P) indicates each is up and active.
Port channel 1 is also created for interfaces that are connected to MX9116n FSEs. As shown below, the ports that are added in the port channel are ports 1/1/1, and 1/1/3.

show vlan
Run the show vlan command to view interfaces that are assigned to each VLAN, and whether the interfaces are access or untagged (A), or tagged (T). Port channel 1000 is the VLTi. VLAN ID 4094 is reserved as an internal control VLAN for the VLT domain, which the user cannot configure. VLANs 1611 to 1616 are ESXi management, vMotion, vSAN, and VM network VLANs. VLANs 1617 and 1649 are NSX-T Data Center related VLANs.

show lldp neighbors
The show lldp neighbors command provides information about connected devices. In this case, ethernet1/1/1, and ethernet1/1/3 connect to the two MX9116n FSEs. The remaining links, ethernet1/1/29, and ethernet 1/1/31, represent the VLTi connection. And ethernet1/1/5:1 through 1/1/5:3 shows connections to the Dell EMC PowerEdge R640 rack servers.
