The People Counting use case uses the Ipsotek VISuite "AI Counter" model to count the number of people entering and exiting a stadium using an access point that is monitored with one or more video cameras. This capability can be used by facilities managers to highlight when crowd movement into or out of the venue is heaviest. Then personnel can be deployed to the areas of heaviest traffic to assist with crowd management.

The People Counting rule transfers statistics to the Ipsotek VISuite database server including the number of people entering or exiting a video-monitored scene. The scene must be configured and annotated with the direction in or out. The result of people counting can be shown on a report.
