Sizing guidelines

  • To recap the sizes of the equipment in our test lab were as follows:

    • EPIC iO DeepInsights device - 10 CPU, 32 GB Mem, 2TB Storage
    • Dell Rugged XR4000 Depot Cluster - 2 x XR4000c Servers (16 CPU, 128 GB Mem, 12TB)
    • Dell CV Data Center Platform - Scales to any size with PowerScale. Used 20TB for testing

    From our testing, the critical component is the storage. We do not want video that is captured at the edge to be overwritten on the bus because the storage is full. The goal of sizing should be to ensure that no data is lost and the compute needs can be met.
