Architecture concepts

  • This solution design and testing covers critical new components in the tested architecture that were not available for the first release of our Computer Vision for Public Transportation white paper. New additions for this release include:

    • Utilization of a private 5G network for testing the functionality and scalability of the on-demand connections between the vehicle systems and the bus depot.
    • Deployment and scalability testing of a small footprint, ruggedized Dell XR4000 modular server cluster hosting VMware ESXi virtual machine management.

    The diagram below shows the logical architecture of the components that we discussed in the Introduction. This diagram also shows a conceptual representation of how data flows between the components. A high-level description of each component will be discussed below.
