To create a comparison point (baseline) before the SQL MI performance testing, a SQL Server VM (sql-vm) is deployed within the same PowerFlex cluster

The initial benchmark TPM numbers for the SQL Server VM are mentioned below. This VM is running on the PowerFlex cluster. This PowerFlex cluster is the same cluster running the Red Hat Enterprise Linux VM worker nodes for the Kubernetes cluster that is used by Azure Arc and SQL MI. This was the only workload running on the cluster during the testing.
The environment averaged 500,000 TPM metrics, which provide a comparison baseline for the PowerFlex and Azure Arc-enabled data services architecture performance tests.
