A single Cisco Virtual Appliance instance of Intersight can manage multiple 3-Tier Platforms. If resources are available on the 3-Tier Management solution, you can host multiple virtual appliance instances on the platform. However, the discovered devices and virtual infrastructure must meet specific requirements, as shown in the following table:

Cisco Intersight Assist functionality is embedded in the Cisco Intersight Connected Virtual Appliance and Cisco Intersight Private Virtual Appliance.
Cisco Intersight offers subscription-based licensing with a choice of license types. As you move up the licensing tiers, more capabilities become available. You can purchase a subscription for one, three, or five years, and then select the Cisco UCS server volume tier that suits your need for the selected subscription period

Note: You can use a Cisco Intersight Infrastructure Services SaaS license (DC-MGT-IS-SAAS-ES and DC-MGT-IS-SAAS-AD) for SaaS and also Centera Virtual Archive deployment options because they have the same part number.

Cisco Intersight discovers and monitors targets that Cisco UCS Manager manages, a process known as Cisco UCS-Managed Mode (UMM). In this mode, you can claim Cisco UCS domains as targets known as Cisco UCS-managed targets. Cisco Intersight enables you to monitor multiple Cisco UMM domains through a single interface.

Notes:
The device connector is an embedded management controller that enables the Cisco Intersight capabilities. It provides a secure way for the connected targets to send information to Cisco Intersight and receive control instructions from it it.
To enable Intersight Management, turn on the device connector and select Admin > Device Connector > Cisco UCS Manager.
The following table shows the minimum supported firmware versions that are required on the FI to claim targets from the Intersight Virtual Appliance:

Cisco UCS and blade servers contain half-width blades with Cisco UCS VICs on supported Cisco UCS B-Series blade servers.
Half-width Cisco UCS B-Series M6 blade servers can contain a 4th-generation Cisco UCS VIC 1440 in the motherboard (mLOM) mezzanine slot.
4th-generation Cisco UCS VIC 1480 M6 servers are installed in the PCIe mezzanine slot. The slot is next to the Cisco UCS VIC 1440. Both VICs can direct network traffic to a separate physical adapter.
The Cisco UCS VIC 1440 is installed with a port expander card for native 40 Gbps connectivity to each fabric. The Cisco UCS VIC 1440 supports a port expander with a Cisco UCS 2408 FEX IOM. The VIC 1440 does not support port expanders with Cisco UCS 2204XP or the Cisco UCS 2208XP IOMs.
Each vNIC on a VIC 14000 provides:
For a 14825 UCSX-V4-Q25GME rear mezzanine VIC card, a 14425 mLOM VIC (UCSX-V4-Q25GML) is required. A UCSX-V4-BRIDGE VIC bridge card is included, and connects the mLOM to the mezzanine adapter. The UCSX rear mezzanine card has Ethernet connectivity to the IFM using the UCSX-V4-BRIDGE, and a PCIE Gen3 x16 connectivity towards CPU2.
