Node placement for multi-rack deployments

  • The best practice is to keep a VxRail cluster with vSAN as the primary storage within a single rack. This strategy will keep vSAN network traffic local to the top-of-rack switches in the single rack, and eliminate the need to route vSAN traffic across racks.
