PowerFlex 4.x adds support for the NVMe over TCP (NVMe/TCP) protocol. Customers have a choice between SDC driver or NVMe/TCP. When the NVMe/TCP protocol is configured on compute and storage nodes, there is no need to install the PowerFlex SDC proprietary kernel driver on the compute hosts. Instead, native operating system NVMe/TCP drivers are used to communicate and perform read and write I/O operations to the PowerFlex storage system.
